#Pakistan - #PPP - PM should take a U-turn to reduce inflation: Bilawal

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has claimed that the government is weak and Prime Minister Imran Khan suffers from a sense of insecurity.
Speaking on the last day (Thursday) of his five-day visit to Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B), he said the PPP had fought against the dictatorial regimes of General Ziaul Haq and General (retd) Pervez Musharraf and would continue to do so against this ‘puppet regime’.
The PPP chairman said PM Imran should take a ‘U-turn’ to reduce inflation. He warned the PM that if he failed to control inflation then even the ‘umpire’ would not be able to save him.He said the government had not done anything to control corruption. He alleged that the government was busy pressuring the opposition to prevent it from playing an effective role.Bilawal alleged that PM Imran Khan was ignorant of the foreign policy. He claimed that the PM forgot that he was representing the country while on a foreign visit.
He warned that he would reveal how PM Imran Khan had come into power if such practices did not stop. He accused the PM of lacking political maturity and said that Imran Khan was still practising the politics which he did while protesting on a container.
The PPP chairman reiterated that the government had drowned the people in inflation.
Bilawal criticises government for breaking promises, taking U-turns
He said the government was destroying shops and other businesses in different parts of the country in the name of the anti-encroachment drive, which had increased the economic hardship of the people.
He said the PPP would keep reminding the people every time the government took a U-turn.
He added that he would advise the Sindh chief minister to increase the quota of seats for G-B students in the medical and engineering fields. He reiterated that his party would continue the struggle for protecting the constitutional rights of G-B and take up the region’s issues at all relevant forums.
Talking to media persons, the PPP chairman said former president Asif Ali Zardari had granted powers to G-B through a presidential ordinance but successive government paid no heed and the region was neglected in mega projects.
He added the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had paramount importance for G-B. He said the PPP was the only party which had always raised voice for the rights of the poor and its government had also increased the quota for G-B students in educational institutions of Sindh. He vowed that the PPP would continue protecting the gifts of the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto to G-B, whether they were in the shape of subsidy on wheat, ownership rights or autonomy.Expressing gratitude to the people of G-B for their hospitality during his stay, the PPP chairman said he had got love and affection for the region in legacy from his mother.
