Chairman PPP chaired the meeting of a Party committee entrusted with task to prepare necessary arrangements for holding a grand and unmatched political congregation in Sukkur on November 30, the 51st Foundation Day of the Party. The Committee members briefed the Party Chairman about the arrangements so far planned and made. Delegates from across the country including the four provinces, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will participate in the Foundation Day celebrations in Sukkur.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had founded PPP as the party of left, downtrodden masses, suppressed and working classes electrifying political awareness and struggle for regaining the lost basic rights of the masses.
He said that PPP offered great sacrifices of lives, imprisonments, solitary confinements, lashes in an struggle for democracy and human rights. Prime Minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was hanged, Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was assassinated and thousands of Party workers also embraced martyrdoms valiant struggle, which still continues.
The Committee members included Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Waqar Mehdi, Manzoor Hussain Wassan, Senator Islamuddin Shaikh, Haji Anwar Khan Mahar, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Syed Owais Qadir Shah, Nouman Islamuddin Shaikh and Aijaz Jakhrani. Others who attended the meeting were: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Mukesh Chawla, Saeed Ghani, Murtaza Wahab, Aajiz Dhamrah and MPA Farrukh Shah.
