Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday called for a parliamentary security committee to oversee the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP), Dunya News reported.
Talking during the Parliament House visit, Bilawal said the Parliament has to provide complete support to the government in war against terrorism.
The PPP co-chairman said that only the Parliament and democracy have the solution to the problems of the people. He said the Parliament has to get its supremacy acknowledged.
Bilawal said the Parliament has to support the government fully in the war against terrorism. He said it is vital to eliminate the mindset in order to end terrorism, adding that lessons will have to be learnt from the past.
PPP leader said NAP should be implemented in spirit and that there should be a parliamentary security committee to continuously oversee the implementation of NAP.
