Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has stressed that in order to promote the observance of human rights in the country, it is necessary to strengthen democracy and cultivate democratic traditions.
According to a statement issued by the Media Cell Bilawal House, the PPP Chairman added in his message that in real democratic societies human rights are considered essential, but in Pakistan because of the dictatorship regimes and their puppet Prime Ministers, there are human rights violations everywhere. “We are working to create an environment of peaceful coexistence where citizens are not discriminated against on the basis of color, race, religion, or gender,” he added.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that Pakistan Peoples Party is the only party defending human rights. The founding chairman of the party Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto presented to the nation with a constitution that guarantees protection of all human rights. He said that PPP governments have taken a number of revolutionary steps to protect basic human rights, including multi-faceted legal reforms and the establishment of fair institutional mechanisms.
The Chairman PPP stressed that the international community must fulfill its duty to stop the serious human rights violations in Kashmir. Sadly, today the world is celebrating International Human Rights Day, but human rights continue to be exploited in occupied Kashmir.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari vowed that the leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party and the jiyalas would always play their role on the front line in fighting for the protection of human rights all over the world including Pakistan.
