Pakistan Peoples Party has announced it would not hold meetings on the eve of death anniversary of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and asked its activists to arrange Quran Khwani at their homes for the purpose.
“Every year, April 4 is marked as death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to pay him tributes, but this year there will be no public meetings, seminars and corner meetings,” PPP provincial chapter said in a statement here on Thursday.
It was stated that the decision was taken following instructions from party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to maintain social distancing for personal protection from coronavirus.
The workers, it said, would pay homage to ZA Bhutto by creating awareness of the deadly virus among the people and extending support to the needy people in their respective localities.
