Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Sunday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan hurls abuses at institutions and then apologises to them, adding that he has no right now to be in politics now.
Addressing a group of people in the Saleh Pit area, Shah said that Imran should clarify whether he believed his criticism of institutions was right or his apology.
Imran had tendered an unconditional apology to the Election Commission of Pakistan for making disrespectful remarks against the institutions early this week. The ECP accepted the apology.
The PTI chairman was accused of issuing contemptuous remarks against the ECP at two separate occasions: in January this year and later in September
Criticising Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif, Shah said he had asked Nawaz to give importance to Parliament time and again, adding that rulers think once they are in power no one can remove them.
“The centre of power is only the masses,” he said.
