APS attack anniversary: Holiday announced in Peshawar







Authorities in Peshawar today announced a holiday on December 16 to mark the second anniversary of the deadly Taliban assault on Army Public School in 2014.
In a notification issued on December 14, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar said that all schools, colleges and universities shall remain closed on December 16 in the wake of the second anniversary of Army Public School incident and the prevailing sensitivity of the security situation.
At least 150 people mostly students were killed and scores were wounded when Taliban gunmen attached the Army Public School on December 16.
