Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday has said that sacrifices of the Army Public School youth united the nation against extremism.
In a statement issued, the party chairman said that martyrs could b avenged by eliminating terrorism with unity. The attack forced everyone to follow late Benazir Bhutto’s stance against extremism, he added.

The party chairman has instructed the authorities concerned to name libraries and schools in Sindh after APS martyrs and has vowed to build a monument.
On the other hand, former president Asif Ali Zardari has criticised the government for not implementing the National Action Plan (NAP) the way it should have been. He said that all the elements involved in the barbarity must be brought to justice.
He called for a “ruthless” accountability of those who failed to avenge the lives lost after a year.
He further said that not bringing the perpetrators to justice means that all the martyrs of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and Peshawar school attack lost lives for no good.
According to spokesperson, Senator Farhatullah Babar, the former president said that the government should show seriousness and bring reforms in seminaries, empower National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) and take a conclusive action against banned outfits.
