Geo’s anchor Shahzaib Khanzada while presenting the analysis in his program ‘Aaj Shahzaib Khanzada Kay Sath’ said that Daesh’s influence in Pakistan was increasing. He said “after LeJ members of Jamat ud Dawa are also being impressed by Daesh and joining the terrorist group. Both civilian and military leadership of Pakistan have been denying Daesh’s presence in Pakistan but the government should now open its eyes after the arrest of 9 terrorists from Sialkot who were Jamat ud Dawa’s members but had joined Daesh”.
He further said “Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar have several times denied Daesh’s presence in Pakistan and the question was also raised when Daesh’s name was included in the list of banned groups. If Daesh is not present in Pakistan then why its name was included in the list? On one hand, Daesh’s presence in Sialkot has been revealed while on the other hand, two Pakistanis have also been arrested in Turkey allegedly for having links with Daesh”.
According to Punjab police, some families of Lahore have also left Pakistan after being impressed by Daesh’s literature. Not onlu Daesh’s supporters but its members are also present in Pakistan who have taken oath of allegiance to Abu Bakar al Baghdadi.
