Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari vowed to continue the struggle launched by his grandfather, former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
“The rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer in the country as feudal landlords are still imposing their decisions on the people,” said Bilawal while addressing a collection of party activists and supporter on PPP’s foundation day in Malir Karachi on Monday.
The chairman of the party alleged some forces saying they are propagating the party that it had diverted from its basic values. Bilawal claimed the party had altered its way in spite of many impediments.
“History tells us the PPP successfully averted all hurdles, including military dictatorships, which came in its way,” said the PPP’s chairman.
The former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s son has also said that PPP stood with the poor people of the country and that it would rival act of privatization of public institutions, including the Pakistan Steel Mills.
He insisted that he was a custodian of his grandfather’s vision and said party’s efforts in rooting out terrorism from the country would continue until the goal is achieved.
