Saudi pressure, Government of Pakistan decided not to bring back the bodies of martyrs
The government of Muslim League (N) has decided, upon Saudi Arabia’s pressure, not to bring back the bodies of martyrs of Mina stampede. According to information, Saudi Arabia has denied sending back the bodies of those martyred in Mina stampede to Pakistan and has pressurized the government of Pakistan to refrain from demanding the bodies of martyrs. The report says that Saudi Arabia has done this in order to stop anti-Saudi sentiments in countries because if the bodies of martyrs would return to their countries, people would protest on Saudi government’s incompetency.
According to unofficial reports, more than 4000 pilgrims were killed in Mina stampede but Saudi media has been hiding the true figure and the bodies of martyrs have been put in containers due to which information about a large number of martyrs have not been received. According to a report, many containers, containing thousands of bodies, have not yet been opened.
It should also be clear that Pakistani government, upon Saudi pressure, has also banned media to take interviews of pilgrims returning from Saudi Arabia.
This has been the second incident in Saudi Arabia during Hajj, this year, due to the incompetency of Saudi government. Experts say that Saudi Arabia has been focusing and spending all its energy in promoting instability, chaos and extremism in other Islamic countries including Yemen and Syria due to which two major incidents took place this year during Hajj.
