Bitter pill of 'new law' is being swallowed for Pakistan's security

Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, on Tuesday said the bitter pill of new law for establishment of military courts is being swallowed for the security of Pakistan.
While delivering opening speech in the National Assembly, the senior PPP leader said that his party has not been in favour of military courts in the past but the Pakistani public s safety is their priority and it is the government’s responsibility to protect the masses.
The opposition leader said that the Pakistani nation believes in unity and that terrorism must be eliminated.
He further remarked that the proposed law is against those who carried out a suicide attack against late Qazi Hussain and recently carried out attacks against JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
"We are confident that military courts will function strictly according to their mandate," Syed Khurshid Shah said.
He said need of the hour is to support the government to curb terrorism.
