Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the killing of three party workers in Lyari area of Karachi Wednesday.
Inayat Baloch, Aijaz Lodhi and A. Shakoor Baloch were gunned down at Chakiwara Road near Lyari Town office in Lyari on Wednesdaynight, while the injured Ali Haider Baloch is in critical condition.
In a statement, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari termed the killings of the three party workers as a nefarious conspiracy to sabotage peace in the area. He said that certain powers working against peace in the city were trying to keep the peace loving and democratic people of Lyari hostage on gun point, and hence they were systematically targeting the PPP workers for spoiling the law and order.
Chairman PPP extended sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed Almighty Allah to grant eternal peace to martyred workers and patience for the grieving families to bear their loss with equanimity.
Bilawal Bhutto asked the Sindh Government to take stern notice of the barbaric killings of party workers and bring the perpetrators to justice.
