http://mediacellppp.wordpress.com/Former country’s President and co-Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari at a meeting of elected members and party representatives reviewed the overall progress and performance of the cabinet and members of provincial assembly. He was given a detailed presentation about the drought in Mithi and the pace of rehabilitation work being carried out. Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, provincial Minister for Information, Archives and Local Government Sharjeel Inam Memon, members of provincial cabinet and Sindh Assembly were present on the occasion. He stressed upon early completion of the rehabilitation process and revisited the progress of various ongoing development schemes of Thaparkar district with special reference to drinking water supply, food and health. Zardari directed to ensure installation of dessert coolers at all the hospitals and schools in Tharparker. He asked to expedite installation of 750 Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants at an accelerated pace. He instructed to have solar energy panels in villages and town. He directed to speed up Thar Coal Project and maintained the first right would always remain with the people of this province. He asked to provide lands to landless peasants women for their livelihood. The meeting was informed the Sindh government has been requested by different individuals/companies for adoption of schools/hospitals in Tharparkar. Asif Zardari directed the government to process it immediately and get it implemented.
