Some 250 widows, orphans and deserving poor Christian members were given cheques worth Rs5,000 each in Karachi by Minority Affairs Department, Government of Sindh Sunday as gift on their religious festival Easter.
Surendar Valasai, Minority Affairs Advisor to Patron-In-Chief Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Awar Laldin, Member of Minority Affairs Welfare Committee handed over cheques at a ceremony held in the hall of National Institute of Child Health. Minority Affairs Minister Gianchand Essrani had approved the financial assistance.
