At least 29 people were killed and more than 70 injured in a blast near Khan Raziq police station in Qissa Khawani bazaar of Peshawar, Geo News reported.
Police have confirmed the blast and said it occurred in a vehicle, parked near the police station.
Initial report said that the explosive material was planted in the vehicle and was detonated with a remote device.
Commissioner Peshawar confirmed killing of 10 people in the attack.
Rescue sources have confirmed that more than 40 people including children were wounded and have been shifted to Leady Reading Hospital.
Hospital sources said 29 people have been killed in the attack. Emergency has been declared in the LRH.
Several vehicles and adjacent buildings were damaged.
The blast occurred a week after a twin suicide blasts at a Church killed more than 80 people.
