A state of emergency has been declared in Quetta’s Civil Hospital where around thirty injured people have been shifted. The dead included a woman, two children and three personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC).
Sources said there was a scarcity of doctors and medical staff at the hospital which was causing serious problems for the victims of the blasts. Because of lack of staff and facilities at the Quetta Civil Hospital, some of the victims have been shifted to the Combined Military Hospital and Bolan Medical College Hospital.
Police said it was premature to say whether the actual target was Quetta Commissioner or house of the Inspector General of the Frontier Corps (FC). The attacks badly damaged IG FC’s house.
