Pakistan: Salmaan Taseer, we all remember you!

Shaheed Salmaan Taseer, former governor Punjab, was a brave man, rare politician, business tycoon and good human being. And earned respect in every sphere.

Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Central Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said that four words are enough for lighting up on his personality— remarkable human being, best friend, best leader and best father. Tahir Ashrafi said that he lost his life fighting to save the humanity.

He said that father of Mr Taseer was well known scholar of his era and people from all over the world were benefited by his intellect and like true son of Dr MD Taseer, Salmaan with his brilliance reached at the peak of business world. He said that being a political leader, he always strived for the well being of down trodden masses of not only Punjab but whole of the country. He said that Mr Taseer had joined ZA Bhutto in his youth and since then never looked back and continued to stick to the PPP ideology.

PPP Minority Wings Punjab leader Napoleon Qayyum said that Christian community would say Happy Birthday to late governor Punjab on his 70th birthday. He said that “We cannot forget the services and the gap created martyred Taseer in next 70th centuries. Qayyum said that he always stands with the oppressed and fighting for the saving on every platform.

Pakistan People’s Party MPA Faiza Malik said that “Remarkable human being is asset of any country which our party and its country lost in 2011”. Salmaan Taseer did a lot of work for backward class during her governorship. She further said that Taseer was a brave man and brave leader.
