اپوزیشن: د امنیت په اړه حکومتي دعوې ناسمې دي #Pakistan -
د روانې اپريل مياشت پر۱۶مه د خېبر پښتونخوا اسمبلۍ په غونډه کې اپوزيشن ګوندونو پر صوبايي حکومت ټکونه وکړل چې ولې يې د پېښور د حيات اباد په څېر د يوې سيمې، چې د عامو خلکو ترڅنګ د حکومتي او امنيتي ادارو افسران هم پکې اوسي، امنيت ونه ساته.
دا له هغه وروسته ده چې امنيتي ځواکونو پر هم ياده نېټه د پېښور په حيات اباد سيمه کې هغه يوه کور په باروتو والوزاوه چې د پوليسو په وينا، يوشمېر وسله وال پکې پټ ول.
د پېښور پوليسو ويلي، د استخباراتي معلوماتو پر اساس يې له پوځ سره په ګډو عملياتو کې پينځه وسله وال وژلي.
خو د پښتونخوا په اسمبلۍ کې د اپوزيشن ګوندونو غړي شکايت کوي چې د يادې پېښې په اړه د دوی پوښتنو ته قانع کوونکی ځواب نه دی ويل شوی.
د پيپلز ګوند غړې نګهت اورکزۍ وايي، د حکومت دا دعوه نه مني چې ګواکې د حيات اباد په عملياتو کې يې په کور کې پټ ټول وسله وال وژلي دي.
"وسله وال تښتېدلي دي. يوازې دوه تنه وژل شوي دي چې موږ يې عکسونه ليدلي دي. امنيتي ځواکونو د وسله والو شمېر اووه ښودلی وو. او مهمه پوښتنه دا ده چې دوی ولې کور والوزاوه؟ حکومت دې ما پر دې منطق پوه کړي. دوی د ۲۴ ساعتونو اوږدو عملياتو په پای کې بايد موږ ته ووايي چې د ويجاړ کړل شوي کور دننه څه وو؟ حکومت تر دې دمه موږ ته، يعنې د ولس استازو ته هېڅ معلومات نه دي راکړي."
د پښتونخوا په اسمبلۍ کې د پېښور د خلکو يو بل استازی او د عوامي نېشنل ګوند غړی خوشدل خان وايي، د حيات اباد له پېښې معلومېږي چې يو چا ته په کرايه د کور ورکولو د پاکستان قانون په سمه توګه نه مراعاتېږي.
نوموړی زياتوي، د اسمبلۍ په غونډه کې يې له حکومته پوښتنه وکړه چې د هېواد وګړي او امنيتي سرتېري به اخر تر کومه د ترهګرۍ ضد جنګ قرباني کېږي؟
"سمه ده، موږ د خپلو ځوانانو او پوليسو قربانۍ منو، خو اخر تر کومه او د دې مسالې حل ولې نه راوځي؟ د ارمي پبلک سکول سانحه له موږ نه هېريږی، چې ماشومان مو پکې ووژل شول. دا څنګ کېدای شي چې وسله وال په حيات اباد غوندې يوه سيمه کې، چې شتمن خلک پکې اوسي، يو کور په کرايه ونيسي؟ موږ د کرايې کورونو قانون لرو، د پېښور پرمختيايي اداره د امنيت لپاره خپل انتظام لري. زموږ پوليس شته. نو پوښتنه مو همدا ده چې بیا ولې د ناامنۍ پېښو شاهدان يو؟ په اسمبلۍ کې زموږ دې پوښتنو ته ځواب و نه ويل شو، بلکې غونډه يې بل وخت ته وځنډوله."
خو د خېبر پښتونخوا حکومت وايي چې د صوبې امنيتي وضيعت د پخوا پرتله ښه شوی.
د صوبې د سېنېر وزير محمد عاطف په خبره، د دوی اولنۍ ترجيح امن ده او د دې هدف ترلاسه کولو لپاره خپل ټول وسايل پکار راولي.
نوموړي تمه وښوده چې د حيات اباد پېښې رپورټ به ژر ترلاسه او په اسمبلۍ کې له ناستو ګوندونو سره شريک کړي.
"امن د هر چا ضرورت دی او حکومت تر بل هر څه زياته توجه همدې موضوع ته ورکوي. خو دا هم باید ومنو چې له تېرو شاوخوا ۲۰ کالو راهيسې له امنيتي مسالو سره مخامخ يو، نو حلول يې داسې اسانه هم نه دی. موږ اپوزيشن ګوندونو ته وايو چې خپل کوښښ کوو. حالات تر ډېره ښه شوي او که خدای کول نور به هم ښه شي. په هر صورت، استخباراتي ادارې بايد خپلې هڅې لا تېزې کړي، ځکه چې د ترهګرۍ په روان جنګ کې د استخباراتو ډېر عمل دخل دی. پوليس مو تر پخوا زيات روزل شوي، پوځي عمليات روان دي، د دوی ترمنځ همکاري ښه شوې او دا چارې به نورې هم ښې کوو. هيله من يم چې د حيات اباد پېښې رپورټ به د اپوزيشن ګوندونو شکونه او شکايتونه تر ډېره ختم کړي."
تحريک طالبان پاکستان ويلي چې د حيات اباد په عملياتو کې وژل شوي وسله وال د دوی ملګري ول.
په پاکستان کې سياستوالو او د چارو شنونکو په بيا بيا ويلي چې په هېواد کې د ناامنۍ پېښو د بشپړ خاتمې لپاره ضروري ده چې حکومت د ترهګرۍ ضد قامي ايکشن پلان په سمه توګه عملي کړي.

Praise for Pakistani food but silence on terror won’t help & German envoy must know that

Reassuring bad governments that all is well is diplomatic equivalent of a doctor telling a diabetic he needn’t limit his sugar intake.
Germany’s ambassador to Pakistan, Martin Kobler, is returning home after having become the favourite diplomat of the country’s establishment and the large number of Pakistanis who consider a positive image more important than the positive realities. For two years, he tweeted about Pakistani hospitality, food, clothes, and even pottery, but never mentioned terrorism, human rights violations, or the political dysfunction normally associated with Pakistan abroad.
Kobler certainly made a certain type of Pakistani feel good about his or her country. But did he really advance German interests in Pakistan, which was his principal job, or even help Pakistan, which he might have been trying to do? After all, the outgoing German ambassador’s commentary did little to enhance bilateral trade and served little purpose than to endear Ambassador Kobler to Pakistanis tired of hearing criticism of their country.
It is not difficult to understand the frustration of Pakistanis, both at home and in the diaspora, over the negative portrayal of their country in the international media. They are hurt by adverse comments about anything to do with Pakistan because it reflects poorly on them even though they and their friends and family lead decent, productive lives.
Pakistanis would rather have their country’s name associated with good food, picturesque landscapes, a colourful culture, and the individual kindness of its people. But the harsh fact remains that discussion of any country by others focuses more on its politics and policies than on the virtues of its people or the beauty of its topography.
German scenery and Italian food did not change in the 1930s, but the two great European nations embraced ideologies that threatened peace, security, and individual freedom. How seriously could one take an ambassador who spent his/her tenure in Berlin or Rome during that period just praising the sights or tasting German beer and Italian wine?
Even tourists cannot gloss over harsh political and economic realities, let alone ambassadors from democracies in this era of the return of authoritarianism. The European Union, of which Germany is a leader, asserts that it “is based on a strong commitment to promoting and protecting human rights, democracy, and the rule of law worldwide”.
In playing the tourist at German taxpayers’ expense, Ambassador Kobler paid little attention to the notion of human rights being at “the heart of EU relations with other countries and regions”. He got excited by the praise from Pakistan’s establishment, its beneficiaries, and the Pakistanis who see admiration for Pakistan’s cuisine and mountains as palliative in the face of a series of adversities.
In the process, the German ambassador – who I am sure is a good, well-intentioned man and an otherwise sound professional – failed to uphold key aspects of the EU policy in public: promoting the rights of women, children, minorities and displaced persons. For all we know, Kobler might have raised issues, such as enforced disappearances, with Pakistani officials in private. But given his public praise, it is unlikely that his interlocutors took his private missives seriously.
The European Union’s Election Observer Mission for the July 2018 Pakistani elections protested that it had been given permission to observe the polls too late, limiting the scope of its work. Kobler did not join that remonstration. The observers noted that the election “was overshadowed by allegations of interference, restrictions on freedom of speech and the media, and unequal opportunities to campaign”.
Ambassador Kobler virtually overturned that criticism when he tweeted to congratulate “the millions of voters” who he said had “voted for the democratic handover of power”. This was presented to Pakistanis as an unconditional endorsement of the legitimacy of the election process, and was hardly what the EU Election Observer Mission had intended.
No one is suggesting that an ambassador should take up cudgels against the government or the elite of the country where they are assigned. But a Hippocratic Oath promising to do no harm must apply to diplomats as it does to doctors. Reassuring bad governments, and the people ruled by them, that all is well is the diplomatic equivalent of a doctor telling a diabetic that he does not need to limit his sugar intake.
As he leaves Pakistan, Ambassador Kobler can be sure that he will be welcomed back to heap praise on the people and land of Pakistan, ignoring the malfeasance of the institutions of state that have blighted the prospects for both the land and the people. But the German foreign ministry must make sure that their future representatives in dysfunctional countries do not add to that dysfunction with misdirected praise.
As for the Pakistanis who get intoxicated by the praise for their hospitality, culture, or panoramas, they must realise that improving Pakistan’s realities is more important than improving the country’s image. A German ambassador’s praise for Lahore’s street food does not change the fact that Pakistan has the world’s highest infant mortality rate and the second highest number of out-of-school children.
In seven decades, Pakistan has gone through four full-fledged wars, several proxy or civil wars, four direct military coups, multiple constitutions, and long periods without constitutional rule. It has lost half its land area in conflict and been accused of genocide leading to secession of the majority population.
Pakistan is associated in the mind of others with unremitting terrorism, frequent religious and sectarian strife, repeated economic failures, numerous political assassinations, continued external dependence, and chronic social underdevelopment. These are functions of politics and policy, not the result of people around the world not appreciating Pakistan’s cuisine or mountains.
Germany and Italy changed their image distorted by National Socialism (Nazism) and Fascism by assuring their neighbours of peaceful intentions and by rebuilding their economies under democracy with respect for human rights. That, not misplaced praise, is also the recipe for improving Pakistan’s image.
#Pakistan - Demonstration held in Skardu to condemn government failure against terrorism
A demonstration was held in Skardu where protesters condemned failure of the PTI government in crushing terrorist network in Quetta where innocent Shia Hazara community is being targeted.
The protest demo was held under the aegis of Baltistan Youth Alliance where MWM leader Allama Agha Syed Ali Rizvi, BYA leader Shaikh Hassan Johari, Anjuman Tajiran president Ghulam Hussain Athar and other notables spoke.
They condemned suicide bombing in Hazarganji fruit market in Quetta and expressed solidarity and sympathy with the families of the martyrs of the bombing that targeted Hazara Shia Muslims.
They said that humanity feels ashamed over unabated targeted terror attacks on Shia Hazara community but it is tragic that the shameless incumbent government failed to shoulder its responsibility. The speakers said that Prime Minister Imran Khan should have visited Quetta to meet heirs of the martyrs but he demonstrated callousness. They said it seems the PTI government itself patronizing extremists and terrorists.

RSF Condemns 'Trumped-Up Charges' Against Pakistani Investigative Journalist
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has condemned what it calls "trumped-up charges"

The Paris-based media watchdog said in a statement on April 16 that the case against Jillani has been designed to intimidate and silence Pakistan’s journalists and called on the court to dismiss the charges.
He has been charged under a controversial cybercrimes act and two Criminal Code provisions.
"Pakistan's authorities are yet again manipulating the laws in order to silence a journalist who dared to cross a red line by criticizing certain institutions," said Daniel Bastard, the head of RSF's Asia-Pacific desk. "It is shocking to see how, little by little, case by case, the Pakistani security agencies are tightening their vice in order to intimidate the entire media profession into censoring themselves."

In his message, the PPP Chairman expressed complete solidarity with the affected people and demanded immediate relief and rescue operations in all the the rain-hit areas without any differentiation. The federal government should without fail announce special relief packages for the affected population immediately for the crop growers and poor farmers who have suffered from the natural calamity.
He said that the ‘Benaami PM Imran Niazi’ is weary of the affected populous and it does not even seem he might reach them even for a photo session but he is grossly engaged and busy in giving a warm welcome to the IMF because he has no sympathy with the poor as he can neither hear painful cries and sighs of the rain-hit farmers and peasants nor of those who lost their beloved ones during heavy rains. It seems as if the Benaami PM has been directed not to stay in close or remote touch with the poor or else he might lose the foreign aids, loans, monetary funds and even the job he is selected for.
The PPP Chairman said that it is a deep miserable situation on the part of the Cabinet ministers who never exhaust when they are engaged in bullying the political rivals and with their loud and vociferous statements, are silent as they are dumb and deaf because they can’t even pass a sheer word of sympathy to the rain-hit poor farmers and the peasants.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the selected government of PTI is pretending to defeat the harsh and devastating crises through simple mimicry.
