Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pays glowing tributes to Karsaz martyrs pledging to continue their struggle
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of Karsaz carnage when over 3 million people’s rally welcoming Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto upon return from exile was bombed twice resulting in martyrdom of 180 PPP workers and injuries to more than 500 thirteen years ago in Karachi.In a message on the eve of the 13th anniversary of the barbaric attack on democracy-loving people’s reception, the PPP Chairman said his Party workers embraced martyrdom for restoration of democracy, supremacy of the Constitution and elected Parliament, protection of basic human rights of the masses. “This struggle still continues despite umpteenth sacrifices in the form of falling victims to terrorist attacks, fabricated cases, arbitrary arrests and now facing open threats from the puppet selected Prime Minister,” he added.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that all the democratic political parties and their leadership would be gathering in Karachi tomorrow to pay tribute to their supreme sacrifices of laying down lives for the cause of democracy during the battle against the dictatorship.
He said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is an alliance of all the democratic political parties to get rid of all the evils associated with destruction of democracy, economy and foreign policy. “It is time to end the self-centered game of selectors and the selected and empower the electors (people) and the elected (people’s representatives) to save the country and its people from further havoc,” he added.
PPP Chairman pledged that PPP would always remember its martyrs as a source of inspiration for the democratic workers and the people adding that their sacrifices won’t go in vain.

This was said by the Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his address to the PDM public gathering at Gujranwala on the early hours of 17 October 2020.He said that it is his first time talking to the people of Gujranwala, a city where brave PPP workers like Yaqoob Khokhar and Zubair Shad and others offered sacrifices against martial law regime of Dictator General Ziaul Haq. Bhutto is still alive due to the sacrifices of such brave PPP workers.
Chairman PPP said that Imran Khan came to power with the slogan of change and the change he brought gave our people hunger, price-hike and unemployment. First time in history of this government the growth rate is in minus. Today Pakistan is experiencing the highest hunger and unemployment. The economy of the country has been destroyed. The prices of food commodities have more than doubled, tripled and quadrupled in the last two years. The youth with two degrees cannot find a job in Pakistan. The change of Imran Khan and his selectors are the crises of wheat, sugar, oil, medicine and employment.
Imran says that the previous government left him economic crisis but did your ideal and absconder General Musharraf left multiple crises for us. At that time terrorism was on its peak, Swat was out of state control, we experienced two floods and there was worst recession in the entire world. We eliminated terrorism, hoisted Pakistani flag in Swat, dealt with floods, ended wheat crisis by increasing wheat support price and within two year we became self-sufficient in wheat and in two years we became exporter of wheat. The PPP government started Benazir Income Support Program for poor women, increased pension up to 150 percent, increased salaries up to 100 percent and for soldiers we increased salaries up to 175 percent. This was the solution of the crises for the people.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Imran has no solution for any problem but the tiger force. Imran had promised 10 million jobs and 5 millions houses but nearly 10 million have become jobless in ythe last two years and thousands have lost shelter for their families. PTI has brocken all the records of corruption. Corruption in foreign funding case, BRT, Sewing machine corruption, corruption in K-electric owned by Imran Khan’s close friend who is languishing in foreign jail, corruption in wheat, sugar and even in trees. His own people are calling this government the most corrupt along with Transparency International. We want accountability, across the board accountability for judges and Generals as well.
Chairman PPP said that it is unfortunate that the biggest province of Punjab has been handed over to a person who was called Wasim Akram plus. He wondered who brought him whether a woman magician or some alien. This appointment is a joke. Imran Khan in his seven years in Kp and two years in federal government did not establish a single hospital or university. Sindh is proud to have hospitals where treatment is totally free. The Singer from Punjab, Shaukat Ali is being treated free of cost in a hospital in Gumbat in Sindh. He said that Punjab got Rs. 500 billion less than its share in the NFC. He said that money belongs to the people of Punjab and we will get back that money from PTI. This money culd have been used to build hospital or education institutions.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Imran Khan’s foreign policy is in tatters. He has halted CPEC, annoyed trusted friend Saudi Arabia and surrendered Kashmir. By driving around foreign dignitaries is not the foreign policy we want. He said that Imran has compromised on Kashmir but he should listen loud and clear that Kashmir cannot be surrendered. Imran has said that Modi after winning the elections will resolve Kashmir issue. Modi had in his election manifesto that he will revoke article 370 and Kashmir will become a part of India. Imran knew it and that is why he wanted Modi to win. Now Modi has attacked Kashmir and this is a historic attack. This was an attack on the UN resolutions. For the last one year Kashmir is under siege and all the political leadership of Kashmiris have been jailed. Not only this but Imran who had said that he will be the ambassador of Kashmiris now wants to become lawyer of Indian Spy Kulbhushan Jadhav through an ordinance. This ordinance was issued but hidden from the opposition. We should have taken Kulbhushan on a road show worldwide just to show the world that India orchestrate terror in Pakistan. Instead the selected and puppet prime minister registered a treason case against the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. He vowed to fight for the rights of Kashmiri people.
Chairman PPP said that Imran Khan neither run the federal government nor the Punjab government. The puppet has failed. We should have decided whether there should be rule of law or not in the country. The people have long decided in favor of rule of law but the state has not decided. Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave constitution to the country but he was martyred by the state. His was judicial murder. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto also asked for democracy in the country, liberty for the people but she was martyred as well. Today no one is liberated neither the people not the journalists. The interview of former President and Prime Minister could not be aired but the interview of the killer of APS students, Ehsanullah Ehsan was aired. The judiciary is also under pressure. Justice Qazi Faez Isa and his wife is being thrown from pillar to post. Parliament has been made a rubber stamp. The budget was passed by cheating and so was that FATF legislation. Now we have come on the streets for the rights of the people and democracy. Imran Khan called us corrupt when we came on the streets but are the lady health workers, doctors, Engineers, growers, traders and common people are corrupt as well who are on the streets for their rights, he asked.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Imran should be ashamed of himself for calling himself democracy. The people are the democracy. The selectors have to put a stop to mollycoddle Imran Khan and will have to accept the decision and power of the people. Now this game should stop. We have gathered all the real representative on one page and now selectors will also have to come on the same page. We have worked together in MRD, ARD and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Mian Nawaz Sharif had signed charter of democracy in tha past. So the PPP jiyalas, PML-N matwalas and the followers of JUI-F and workers of all other opposition parties are ready for this struggle. He said that the time to worry has come for Imran Khan and we all will continue to challenge the selected and selectors, he concluded.

#Pakistan army chief ended my govt, imposed Imran Khan on the nation, claims Nawaz Sharif
Sharif, currently in London, was addressing a gathering of Pakistan Democratic Movement — an alliance of 11 Opposition parties formed last month with the aim to oust the PTI govt.Pakistan’s former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has accused the military and the intelligence agency of being behind his ouster as premier and installing their “puppet government” by bringing Imran Khan into power.
Sharif was addressing the first power show of the alliance of 11 opposition parties — Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) — in Gujranwala, some 80 km from Lahore, late on Friday night via video link from London.
On September 20, the opposition parties announced the formation of the PDM and launch of a three-phased anti-government movement under an action plan starting with countrywide public meetings, protest demonstrations and rallies before a decisive long march towards Islamabad in January 2021 to oust the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government.
Targeting the military leadership, Sharif told the gathering: “(Army chief) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa ended my government. He rigged 2018 elections and imposed incapable Imran Khan on the nation. Gen. Bajwa is a direct culprit and he will have to give an answer to this.”
Bajwa is directly responsible for the miseries and sufferings of the people by imposing an inept PTI government, the Pakistani Muslim League (Nawaz) chief alleged.He also accused the Inter-Services Intelligence of being behind the fall of his government and said the entire episode happened with the help of ISI chief Lt Gen Faiz Hameed.“You (Hammed) will have to answer this too,” he said, accusing the military and the ISI of “installing” their “puppet government by bringing Imran Khan into power”.“I ask the people present in the rally, don’t be afraid to mention the name who imposed this incapable Imran on us,” the three-time prime minister said.Referring to the military, 70-year-old Sharif said, “You can label me a traitor if you want, seize my properties, file false cases against me but I will continue to speak for my people.”
“They call us traitors…this is not new…PML-N’s mandate was stolen and a nalayak (incapable) and puppet Imran Khan was brought into power,” he said.
The PML-N chief, currently out on bail, is facing multiple corruption charges. The Islamabad High Court had allowed him to go to London for medical treatment in November last year.
This is not the first time that Sahrif has gone after the military leadership. During the opposition’s multiparty conference last month, he had bitterly criticised the army, saying there was a state above the state in the country . However, he had refrained from naming anyone.
Since his anti-army rant, the PTI government has banned the media to broadcast his speeches.
Friday’s event was the first power show of the PDM since its formation last month with an objective to oust the “selected” PTI government. The PDM’s struggle against the Imran Khan government is widely perceived as being anti-army.
The opposition managed to pull a huge crowd at the cricket stadium that was full to its capacity.
Sharif also questioned why the violators of Constitution don’t get any punishment, while an elected prime minister is not allowed to complete his tenure.
Sharif became the prime minister in the politically unstable Pakistan for a record three times, but every time he was forced to quit in the middle of his term.The former premier also said there is “a state above a state” in Pakistan and questioned, “Who is responsible for the two governments in this country?”The PML-N leader, however, made it clear that he was not against the army but some individuals who violated the Constitution.
“I salute my army men who sacrifice their lives for the country,” he said.
During the event, PDM president Maualana Fazlur Rehman declared that the PTI government would be sent packing by December in the wake of the opposition’s movement.PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz also addressed the event.
The next rally of the PDM is on Sunday in Karachi.
The Opposition leaders had announced that they would use all political and democratic options, including no-confidence motions and mass resignations from Parliament to seek “the selected” prime minister’s resignation.
The Opposition parties have accused the powerful army of rigging the 2018 elections that brought Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party to power.
The Oppostion parties are openly opposing the military’s interference in politics and elections for the first time in the recent history of the country.Sharif has been living in London since November last year after he was allowed by the courts and the government to go there for a period of eight weeks for medical treatment. But he did not come back, while his lawyers told the court that he was still recovering.
The Islamabad High Court through newspaper advertisements has asked Sharif to appear before it by November 24 to avoid being declared a “proclaimed offender”.
