Students and parents closed the Kohat road for traffic today (Thursday) while staging a protest against the sudden closure of Benevolent Public School and College in Peshawar, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the institution was not opened summer vacations ended as a result of which parents and students protested on Kohat Road disrupting the flow of traffic.

The protesters also chanted slogans against Imran Khan and provincial government.
The protesters were of the view that the provincial government is running education campaign on one side whereas it is also closing institutions on the contrary.
Moreover, they also said that the government is putting the future of the students at stake by closing the school.
As per sources, the institution was closed without any prior notice whereas the parents were also advised to admit their children in any other educational institution.
Peshawar High Court (PHC) while taking notice of the incident has directed Secretary Benevolent Public School and College to submit explanation regarding the closure.
Protests were also held earlier by the parents on which Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) MPA Fazal Elahi reached the scene and assured the parents of not closing the school.
