PPP to take out GO Nawaz Go rallies in Punjab: Bilawal Bhutto

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday directed Punjab chapter of the party to take out ‘Go Nawaz Go’ rallies in every district of the province to pressurize Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down following a damning report by the joint investigation team (JIT) against the ruling Sharif family in the Panama Papers case.

Speaking at the PPP Punjab’s executive committee meeting here at the Zardari House, the party chief said Nawaz Sharif had lost all credibility following report by the JIT held him guilty of corruption and money laundering.

Bilawal ordered early finalisation of party organisation in Punjab so that he can visit every district and division to meet the people. He informed the meeting that manifesto committee of the party had already begun its work. He said the manifesto will reflect party’s policy towards betterment of the common people of Pakistan as per party’s philosophy. He said the PPP will work hard and win the next general elections with the support of people, like it has won the Karachi and Gilgit-Baltistan bye-elections.

Bilawal said that supporters of the party exist in every constituency and that now time had come for them to become part of the ‘Go Nawaz Go’ movement in their respective areas.

Quran Khawani was also held on the death anniversary of Shahnawaz Bhutto.

Those who attended the meeting included Qamar Zaman Kaira, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Haji Azizur Rehman Chan, Khurram Jahangir Wattoo, Samina Gurkhi, Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Chaudhry Manzoor and Jamil Soomro.
