Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appreciates People’s government of Sindh for presenting a balanced budget

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has appreciated the People’s government of Sindh for presenting a balanced budget, which caters to the urgent needs of the people and province in the wake of coronavirus, locust attacks and poverty.

During a video-link call with Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah after he presented Sindh budget and attended NCOC meeting, the PPP Chairman said by increasing the salaries upto 10% of the provincial government employees and earmarking massive funds for health, education and agriculture sectors, the Sindh government has displayed its commitment to its citizens despite fiscal constraints and Federal government’s non-cooperative attitude.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pointed out that PTI governments in centre and other provinces chose to throw their employees at the mercy of unbearable inflation and price-hike but Sindh government raised salaries, injected more funds into healthcare system to save lives threatened by coronavirus and other diseases.
PPP Chairman said that PTI governments have neither the will nor any capacity to think of the people to conceive planning for public welfare as they are lagging behind while Sindh has allocated huge funds for poverty-reduction programme through Social Welfare Department on Union Council level.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah informed that Sindh has presented pro-people, pro-poor, pro-farmers budget during the worst financial crisis as Federal government gulped Rs229 billion from its share during the current fiscal year.
