Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that peace is the only guarantee for humanity to thrive and prosper and urged for imparting the importance of peace to the children to ensure this planet to be safest dwelling for future generations.
In his message on the eve of Universal Children’s Day, being observed tomorrow in Pakistan and around the world under the United Nations, the PPP Chairman said that children should be kept aloof from any kind of extremism to enable them grow into an integrated world cohesively living with ethnic, religious, and other diversities.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that it was the prime duty of the state, society, neighbours and parents to protect children from exploitation, violence and abuse besides providing them fair chances to grow together with education and health facilities.
He said that PPP introduced key legislation instruments like the Sindh Child Protection Authority Act, 2011, The Sindh Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2013, The Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act, 2013, The Protection of Breast-feeding Rules, 2009 and The Sindh Protection and the Promotion of Breast-feeding and Child Nutrition Act, 2013 adding that implementation of these has to be ensured for the benefit of children.
PPP Chairman stressed for more efforts for the well-being of children and make their journey to this planet an amazing and beautiful one.
