Coal Project to change the fate of Thar. It was stated by the former President of Pakistan and President PPPP Asif Ali Zardari while addressing a joint meeting of Pakistan Peoples Party office-bearers, Parliamentarians, Local Bodies heads, and notables from Tharparker and Umerkot districts was presided over by the former President of Pakistan and President PPPP at Bilawal House today evening. PPP Women Wing President MNA Faryal Talpur was also present on occasion.
Meeting was attended by President PPP Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Home Minister Suhail Anwar Sial, Ziaul Hassan Lanjar, Member Central Executive Committee MNA Nawab Yousuf Talpur, PPP Mirpurkhas Division President Aftab Hussain Jillani, President PPP Tharparker Senator Gianchand, President PPP Umerkot Syed Ali Mardan Shah, Ministers Sardar Ali Shah, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Dr Khatumal Jeewan, Nawab Taimoor Talpur, MPAs, Party office-bearers, the elected Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the District Councils, Municipal and Town Committees and notables from both districts.
PPP leaders from Tharparker and Umerkot apprised Asif Ali Zardari about the political landscape of both the districts and the development projects carried out by PPP government in their respective areas.
Addressing the Party leaders, former President Asif Ali Zardari said that both Tharparker and Umerkot districts will immensely benefit from Thar Coal Project, which is going to change the fate of every soul in the area. He said that Thar Coal Project was the dream of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and hoped that it would be completed within schedule and start feeding coal-fired power to national grid by the end of 2019.
