Two officials of the Frontier Corps were martyred in an attempted terrorist attack on an FC checkpost in Khyber Agency early Friday morning, Geo News reported.
Pakistan Army effectively responded to the aggression and killed six terrorists in retaliatory fire, the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
Two FC personnel embraced martyrdom in the cross-border attack, ISPR said.
The attack was carried out from across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on an FC checkpost located in Charsadda tehsil of Shabqadar, the ISPR statement said.
Pakistan sealed the Torkham and Chaman crossings last month, after a blitz of bombings in the country which killed over a 100 people in 10 days.
