Sporadic clashes still erupt between security forces and Taliban in Kundoz city

As security forces are conducting clearance operation in the capital of northern Kundoz province after retaking it from Taliban, reports suggest that sporadic clashes still erupt in the city.
Hamdullah Danishi, acting governor of Kundoz said on Tuesday that Taliban have adopted new tactics.
He said now they come on motorbikes, shoot on security forces and their checkpoints and run away.
Danishi believes Taliban want to create an environment of dread among the residents of the city.
Taliban occupied several areas of Kundoz city on the evening of Monday last week after severe clashes with security forces.
They had been controlling the seized areas for about two days before Security forces launched a large-scale operation to end their siege on those areas.
Ministry of Defense said that hundreds of Taliban were killed and wounded in the operation.
But others took cover in nearby residents from where they are once again attacking security forces.
Reports suggest that Taliban carried out some of the attacks in military suits.
