Ms. Jahanara M Wattoo, a provincial leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and head S media Punjab has congratulated the Christian community on the eve of Christmas adding that the Christian community is a precious asset of the country and the protection of their fundamental rights is clearly the responsibility of the state.
In a felicitation message, the PPP Provincial leader said in this region Muslims and Christians have coexisted peacefully for centuries and we jointly shared our common moments of happiness as well as the troubles.
I wish peace to all Christian citizens on the occasion of Christmas, which we believe is very important for Christian community. She added.
She maintained that Christmas is a feast of life, of universal brotherhood, hope, love, tolerance and peace, and interfaith harmony peace and respecting each others religion are very important for the development and progress of Pakistan.
