Pakistan - Christian urged to boycott government of Pakistan Christmas celebration events




The Central Secretariat of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC in a press note of urged clergy of Pakistani Churches, Christian educational institutes, Christian NGO activists and Christian Civil Society
members to not invite any Federal or Provincial minister in their Christmas and New Year celebration events until justice is not ensure in burning alive of Christian couple case, freedom of Asia Bibi and other accused of blasphemy victims who are behind bars.

Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC appealed to Pakistani Christian Diaspora in EU, Canada, USA, Australia and other countries also to boycott Christmas and New Year events in Pakistani Missions.

The Pakistani Missions around world organize Christian and New Year events to present Pakistan as a country where religious freedom and basic democratic rights are fully enjoyed by religious minorities to cover up rising violence, oppression and persecution of minority individuals.

“There are Christian tools in West who enjoy envelops from Pakistan Missions and deliver speeches in Christmas and New Year events to confirm claims of government of Pakistan that minorities are enjoying equal rights in Pakistan while they are treated like 2nd class citizens” said PCC Chief.

Nazir Bhatti added “Rising violence on pretext to blasphemy, kidnapping and enforced conversion to Islam of Christian and Hindu women and total denial of equal basic democratic rights to religious minorities in true face of Pakistan and justice is never ensured”

Dr. Nazir Bhatti appealed to Christian youth to protest against Christian Ministers in Federal and Provincial governments and other selected members of minorities in Parliament when they participate or organize any Christmas or New Year celebration events.
