Pakistan: Weeklong protest announced over Islamabad court attack

Islamabad’s legal fraternity announced Monday that they would observe a week-long boycott in protest against the deadly suicide attack on the capital’s district court. Naseer Kayani, President, Islamabad District Bar Association, said that courts would remain shut for the whole week over this brutal act of terrorism, which left 11 people killed. Lawyers, he said, would not appear before courts during this period. The decision was endorsed by the Islamabad High Court Bar Association.
