Pakistan: 'Heads roll over Tharparkar tragedy in Sindh'

The Sindh government has taken back portfolio of Minister for Relief from Makhdoom Jamiluzaman and removed Relief Commissioner Lala Fazlur Rehman from his post.
Sources said the changes are being made in view of apathy on part of Sindh government officials in the aftermath of over a hundred deaths in drought-hit areas of Thar.
Geo News reporter said that senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Taj Haider has been appointed as advisor to Sindh Chief Minister tasked with monitoring relief work in the affected areas.
Sources said changes in bureaucracy were also expected on the directives of Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who has expressed anger over Sindh government's performance.
