Qatar's World Cup 'slaves': FIFA deeply concerned
Recent reports allege that numerous Nepalese migrant labourers in Qatar are enduring atrocities and labour abuses, raising questions about Qatar's preparations to host the 2022 Football World Cup. It has also been stated that some workers died in modern-day 'slavery'. The Voice of Russia very own Tim Walklate contacted FIFA directly to inquire about the details of the highly controversial accusations.
In an official statement to the Voice of Russia, FIFA representative asserted that the organization is deeply disturbed by the news and will seek to discuss the issue during Executive Committee Meeting in October.
