President Zardari leaves for Tehran to represent Pakistan at NAM summit

President Zardari has gone Tehran to lead Pakistani delegation at Non-Aligned Movement summit meeting that begins on Thursday. During his stay in Tehran he will also hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of various countries including Indian Prime Minister. Leaders from about one hundred twenty countries including thirty heads of state and governments will participate in the summit. Key issues on the agenda include a condemnation of Western sanctions on Iran and other NAM countries‚ a new push to quell the conflict in Syria‚ and a reaffirmation of calls to make UN decision-making more globally democratic.
