The Tokyo TimesA teacup that was used by pop star Lady Gaga is being auctioned in Japan at a charity action, with a price offered so far of over $50,000 and continuing to rise.The china cup and saucer that are on sale have been used by the artist at a press conference in Tokyo, last year, three months after the natural disasters which struck Japan.Lady Gaga told journalists at the time that the cup, marked with her lipstick and the message “We pray for Japan”, would be later auctioned. The cup was put on “Yahoo! Japan Auctions” on Monday, with the starting price of one yen. The auction will close on Sunday afternoon. Lady Gaga has been in Japan twice after the March 2011 disasters and she called on tourists to return to the Asian country. She is expected in Japan next week, as part of her current Asian tour.
